Purpose of the role:

The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. The HR Generalist manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs.

Key result areas (major duties, accountabilities and responsibilities):

  • HR administration: prepares and maintains records and procedures for initiating and managing personnel transactions and documenting and securing personnel data
  • Performing hr databases updates, data checks and reporting
  • Processing employee life cycle from on boarding to exit
  • Sickness reporting
  • Delivering payroll input and provide follow-up on signals from the ADP (payroll) system in collaboration with the payroll consultant and the Finance department
  • Supporting business recruiting and staffing logistics
  • Responding to ad-hoc employee inquiries regarding company policies, procedures and programs.
  • Advising people managers and employees on HR related issues
  • Participating in hr meetings and attends other meetings

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or similar field.
  • 2 – 5 year experience in an HR the role or a very similar position
  • Be able to analyse and present information in such a way that is understood by everyone within the organisation
  • Be extremely well organised and methodical in approach to problem solving and be able to manage administrative/filing/database systems accurate
  • Have excellent communication skills to be able to deal with employees at every level
  • Understand the legalities of Dutch employment law in relation to employee employment rights and how to apply them within day-to-day work, company policy documentation and staff welfare
  • Operate with Microsoft Office and be familiar with ADP
  • Fluency in Dutch and English (verbal and in writing)
